Introduction

The Regional Partnerships program incorporates a formal launch process that requires consultation with your local Area Consultative Committee (ACC) and your state Regional Office of the Department.

There are a number of key steps in the launch process:

  • Regional Office and ACC officers liaise on the need for a project launch and also liaise on appropriate timing.

  • Once the need is established, proponents are assisted to complete an invitation to an Australian Government Representative for the launch.

  • Invitation details are then forwarded by Regional Office staff to the Department's Launch Coordinator.

  • The Launch Coordinator, in conjunction with the Minister's Office, coordinates and finalises launch details regarding Australian Government representation and appropriate documentation.

  • Proponents are responsible for completing the 'Request for Government Representation' form in conjunction with their local ACC and Regional Office.

  • Local ACC and Regional Office staff will then continue to liaise with proponents regarding the launch.
